Leaving DuPont Netherlands
If you were employed by one of the DuPont member entities on 1 January 2015, but you left the company in the meantime, and if you have decided against transferring your accrued pension to your new employer, you are classed as a former participant of DEPF. A former participant is also referred to as a sleeper. Your accrued pension entitlements ‘sleep’, as such, until the moment your pension comes into payment upon your retirement.
Transfer of accrued benefits
If you leave DuPont and you start working with a new employer, you have the option to transfer your accrued pension to your new employer’s pension administrator. If you decide against such a transfer of accrued benefits, you become a former participant of DEPF. Your accrued pension entitlements remain with our pension fund until your retirement date. Please note: If you want to transfer your pension, you need to file a request with your new pension provider after starting employment with your new employer. Individual transfers of accrued benefits are a complex issue. We recommend requesting advice from an independent pension expert.
We aim to annually increase your pension with grants of indexation to ensure it increases at the same pace as 75% of consumer prices. This is possible only if the financial position of your DEPF section allows. Please refer to the Pension Rules for the guidelines on this subject.
Overview of your pension and the pension scheme
Would you like another look at the pension scheme of the DuPont Netherlands section, please refer to the Pension 1-2-3 on your section page. The Pension 1-2-3 provides 3 layers of information about the content of the pension scheme.
As a sleeper, you will receive a Uniform Pension Statement (UPO) from DEPF once every five years. This serves to inform you about the pension you accrued with DEPF. For a full overview of your pension situation, please refer to www.mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl.
Upon retirement, you will receive a monthly pension benefit from DEPF. If you worked for different employers and you did not transfer the pension capital you accrued with these companies, they will also pay out a pension to you. As from your AOW state pension retirement age, you will also receive a monthly AOW benefit from the government. Our administrator, RiskCo, is responsible for paying out your DuPont pension. The Sociale Verzekeringsbank (Social Insurance Bank) is responsible for paying out your AOW state pension.
Pay-out dates 2020:
You annually receive a statement from DEPF setting out the amount of pension paid out to you, a notification relating to any grants of indexation on your pension, and relating to changes in the gross and net pensions. Furthermore, you can register for the DEPF newsletter. In the future, you can use the menu on the right of the homepage to download most of these communications.
You may not have been a DuPont employee yourself; perhaps you obtained pension entitlements from DEPF after a divorce or termination of a registered partnership. You will receive a Uniform Pension Statement (UPO) from DEPF once every five years. This serves to inform you about the pension you accrued with DEPF. For a full overview of your pension situation, please refer to www.mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl.
